29 Jan Top 5 Reasons to Buy a Certified Preowned Honda
North Miami Beach residents looking to purchase a Honda, and who don’t want to pay for a brand new car, can go through a private seller, get one off a used car lot, or look into getting a car that is part of Honda’s certified pre-owned program. There are several reasons why the certification is the best route for anyone looking to buy a Honda that is not new.
Hondas 182 Point Inspection
To become certified, the vehicle goes through a rigorous 182-point inspection by trained Honda service technicians. These experts look at every single detail of the vehicle, including engine, drivetrain, tires and wheels, steering and suspension, brakes, and more. They even look closely at the paint and body condition.
Newer Models Only
North Miami Beach buyers who are looking at pre-owned cars are probably going to look at models that are not too outdated. Part of Honda’s pre-owned certification is that the vehicle must be produced within the last six years and must be well-maintained. Anything older or not treated very well will not be given the certification.
Vehicle History Report
All certified pre-owned Hondas come with a vehicle history report. This in-depth report covers accident history, title information, registration history, and odometer reading. If the history does not disclose serious issues reported by the state DMV, the owner is covered by buy-back protection.
Certified pre-owned Hondas have different levels of coverage. These include:
- 1 year/12,000 mile Non-Powertrain Coverage – For vehicles purchased after new vehicle limited warranty has expired. Provides non-powertrain coverage for one year or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, starting from the date of certified pre-owned vehicle warranty coverage
- 4 years/48,000 mile Non-Powertrain Coverage – For vehicles purchased within new vehicle limited warranty period. This provides non-powertrain coverage for one year and 12,000 miles to four years or 48,000 miles, whichever comes first
- 7 years/100,000 mile Powertrain Coverage – Provides powertrain coverage for seven years or 100,000 total odometer miles, whichever occurs first)
Replace Worn Parts
Any parts that are worn are replaced or reconditioned to meet Honda’s standards with Honda Genuine Parts. These are parts that come from the original equipment manufacturer. Pre-owned vehicles will not have second rate parts placed in them.
These five reasons to look into a certified pre-owned Honda means your car will not fall apart as soon as it leaves the lot, or have a questionable history.
