31 Oct 2017 Honda Fit vs. 2016 Honda Fit
The Honda Fit has a long-standing reputation of being a decent small car that is reliable, fuel-efficient, and economically priced. The 2017 Honda Fit continues in that tradition with some nice improvements over the 2016 edition. The Fit is one of the best little hatchbacks available today. Let’s take a look at some of the changes Honda has made on the Fit for 2017.
Honda Fit Exterior Upgrades
On the outside, Honda has dressed up the exterior with new colors, and a new design in the exterior lighting. Open one of the five doors, and you’ll find a redesigned cabin that features the most up-to-date features available in its class. The traditional switches have been replaced with touchpad controls. There is a new infotainment center to keep you informed and entertained throughout your ride, and reclining seats offer rest along the road.
Trims to Choose From
The Honda Fit for 2017 offers three trim levels with one engine. The Fit is powered by a 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine that delivers 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. You can expect to average a modest 33/40 mpg* city/highway with the automatic transmission and 29/36 city/highway* with the manual transmission.
The nice features you’ll find on the 2017 Fit include a moonroof with a tilt feature, push-button start, heated power side mirrors, Honda’s LaneWatch, and a 60/40 split rear Magic Seat. Of course, the Fit is equipped with airbags and electronic stability control. Other safety features include hill start assist and a rearview camera for ease in backing up.
